About Me

I am a first year administrator, new to the Upper Perkiomen School District. In my short while here as the assistant principal at Upper Perkiomen High School, I have worked with exceptional students, teachers, and administrators.

My career in education began at Bloomsburg University, where I majored in elementary education and special education with a focus in deaf education. I came on board as a special education math co-teacher at Palisades High School. Soon after, I transitioned to part-time emotional support teacher and special education facilitator. After a few years in this position, I transitioned into the role of cyber center facilitator at Palisades High School. I spent some time designing and creating the Keystone Algebra Course that is currently being used by Blended Schools and district throughout the state.

In April 2014, I accepted the position of high school assistant principal at Upper Perkiomen High School. I am looking forward to expanding learning opportunities for students throughout the school district and high school. I would like to realize an open high school campus in which students actively engage in their interests and passions both in the community and in school. I believe that online and hybrid learning opportunities as well as access to technology can help teachers and students achieve this goal.

Personally, I enjoy cooking, gardening, running, reading and being outdoors. I hope you enjoy my blog, reflections on my personal and professional growth, and beliefs about leadership!
